This initial session would be an opportunity for you to ask questions, make sure you know what to expect, and feel comfortable before taking things further.
In the session we would identify the issues you wish to work on and the outcome you are hoping for. We would talk through the options available – for example, whether you wish to work for an agreed length of time (a minimum of 6 sessions is usual) or whether you feel a more open-ended, exploratory approach would suit you better. We will work at the pace that is right for you.
Once we have agreed on the way forward, subsequent sessions would usually be held weekly, at the same time and place, and would last for 50 minutes.
